Students worked in lab 300 on creating their online design portfolios (see Handout on the main class page: Weebly Tutorial).
Students filled out the "Test your Idea" Handouts today and shared with me their ideas for the design portfolio. Afterwards, I gave them a brief tutorial on how to use Weebly, the online web site program they'll be using to make their online portfolios.
I passed out the handout on dramaturgy and explained the first assignment of the portfolio which we'll begin work on this Thursday. Afterwards, we played theatre games.
Students were introduced the online design portfolio we will be working on all semester (see handout on the main class page). After brainstorming some ideas, we played a new improv game.
Students took a Dramatics Elements quiz, then performed their playwriting scene in the auditorium.
After discussing the Dramatic Elements of 'The Lottery' students participated in a playwriting activity in groups of three and four. They will be performing their creations tomorrow.
We finished reading "The Lottery," then students filled out a dramatic elements handout pertaining to the play.
Students took notes on Dramatic Elements today, then we began reading the one-act play, "The Lottery."
The last of the theatre presentations were completed today.
