Students turned in their Art Inspiration handouts for points and began their rough drafts.
Students were assigned a piece of art to then use as the inspiration for their next piece of writing.
We began a new unit called "Inspired by Art." In class, we did a series of activities to brainstorm ideas from a variety of artwork and then ended class with a group brainstorm activity.
Students spent the hour reading their peers' memoirs on Turnitin.com on the discussion board and then posted meaningful feedback for 5 or more memoirs.
Students worked on their final drafts of their memoirs. They are due on Turnitin and Google Docs by midnight tonight. Students also began reading each other's papers on Turnitin and posting meaningful comments.
Students got their rough drafts checked off for points, then spent the hour self and peer editing their drafts, also for points.

All children's books and letters were turned in and then dropped off to Village and Lakes elementary school for illustrating! Students finished their memoir prewriting and turned it in.
